Recently watched Funny Ha Ha (2002, Andrew Bujalski)

This is one of the most naturalistic films I’ve seen; each sequence filled with everyday real-life moments. The aimlessness and frustration of being a young person today evident in almost every line of dialogue. Having all of these doubts and worries and never being able to articulate yourself the way you want to; all these emotions with no outlet of expressing them. It’s a big film about communication, difficulty communicating with people, and the difficulties of sustaining communication among friends over time. Communication skills is everyone’s weakness in this film.
